This article in the Institute of physics’ members’ magazine caught my eye. As the title says, the author (an experienced teacher and physicist) believes that the A Level Physics syllabus needs modification to make it more useful to advanced physics and beyond.

A great example is the Physics kinematics chapters; students are not explained how displacement, velocity and acceleration are simply related by time derivatives/integrals.

Hence there is a good reason to fully get to grips with your differentiation and integration in the Maths A Level. Despite this incredibly important knowledge; no formal connection is made.

The above is to say that Bayliss Tuition courses will work on a ‘fundamentals first’ approach.
